Burnley interested in signing Mejbri from the Red Devils

Championship side Burnley are interest in Manchester United’s Tunisia midfielder Hannibal Mejbri, whose contract is entering the final year of its current deal.

The Ufabet reports that Mejbri is likely to leave Manchester United this summer, with Burnley interested and keen to bolster their midfield with the ultimate goal of promotion back to the Premier League.

Mejbri’s move is reportedly possible on a permanent basis or on loan. But there is a buy-out clause as the 21-year-old’s contract with Manchester United expires in June 2025.

However, Ufabet Sports report that Manchester United are keen to sell him outright rather than loan him out for the 2024-25 season. Promotion Ufabet so Burnley will have to think carefully before making an offer.

In the past, Mejbri has experience playing in the Championship with Birmingham City when on loan from Manchester United throughout the 2022-23 season, playing up to 38 games, scoring 1 goal and 5 assists.

While last season, Mejbri moved to Sevilla in January or the second half of the season. With an option to buy for 20 million euros plus add-ons, but the option was not activate.

Hannibal’s addition would bolster Burnley’s midfield with Sander Berge closing in on a £25m move to Fulham and a medical taking place in London on Tuesday.
