Portuguese forward Joao Felix has officially been unveiled as Chelsea’s new player after signing a seven-year contract.

Chelsea Football Club has announced the signing of Felix from Atletico Madrid on a seven-year deal, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until June 2031.

The 24-year-old forward said: “I’m really happy to be back at Chelsea and I can’t wait to get start. I’m seeing some familiar faces from the last time I was here, which is always good.”

“I’ve loved my time here. I’ve told my friends and family that I would love to come back and play in the Premier League one day. It’s a great feeling to be here at Chelsea. I’m very excited to be back.”

The transfer fee has not been officially disclose, but Ufabet Sports reports it is £46.3m, with £42m up front and £4.3m in add-ons, in a bid to push Conor Gallagher to sign for Atletico Madrid.

Felix was with Barcelona on a season-long loan last term and racked up ten goals and four assists in all competitions for the Catalan giants. His arrival at Chelsea paved the way for Conor Gallagher to head in the opposite direction.

Felix first joined Chelsea in January 2023 ยูฟ่าเบท, playing in the second half of the 2022-23 season. Overall, he was not very impressive, playing 20 games and scoring 4 goals.
